Set up ShareGate Apricot to gain visibility over the important events across your Microsoft 365 groups and teams lifecycle.
Collaborate with group owners to keep your environment clutter-free and course-correct as you scale.
Security is one of our highest priorities. We comply with industry standards and we have internal policies to ensure your data is protected.
For an overview of our security policies, see Security overview.
For more specific information about security with the app, see the app security category of our Help Center.
First sign in and user access
Global admin or privileged role permissions are required to complete the first sign-in so you can consent the app on your tenant.
Once the app has been consented, anyone with global admin, SharePoint admin, or groups admin permissions can log in to ShareGate Apricot with their Microsoft 365 account.
To learn more about granting consent, see <ahref="https://support-apricot.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028135731" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Why does a global admin need to give a one-time consent to access the app?
Though you cannot explicitly give access to your users without proper permissions (at least SharePoint admin), you can restrict users that already have access. For more information on this, see How can I manage access to ShareGate Apricot?
To access ShareGate Apricot for the first time, head to https://sharegate.com/products/sharegate-apricot and click on Log in at the top right corner. Then, you can use your Microsoft credentials to sign in.
You can find more information on buying a license or accessing the app, see the ShareGate Productivity Subscription FAQ.
When you sign in for the first time, the application will crawl your tenant to capture the required information.
Tip: The initial crawl of your environment can take some time. This is a good opportunity to review your settings and establish new policies.
With your policies in place and your environment crawled completely, we suggest starting with the dashboard.
Select the Dashboard tab in the top menu to access the screen. From there you can review your teams at a glance, check items on your To-do list, and get visibility on problematics in your environment.
For more information, see An introduction to your dashboard.
