Create and edit group sensitivity labels
You can create your own group sensitivity labels and edit existing ones.
Review your group sensitivity label settings if you want to ensure that the desired security settings are applied.

Apply group sensitivity labels to new groups
The ShareGate Apricot Teams bot asks your owners to choose a group sensitivity label when they create new Microsoft 365 Groups.

Manually apply a group sensitivity label
- Click on the Groups tab.
- Click on the group you want to apply a group sensitivity label to.
Tip: You can select multiple groups to add or remove group sensitivity labels on several at once. - Click
in the group details.
- Select your desired group sensitivity label from the dropdown.
Filter group sensitivity labels
To filter your groups by group sensitivity labels, follow these steps:
- Click on the Groups tab.
- Click on the filter icon in the top left corner.
- Click Group sensitivity in the menu to expand the section and reveal the available group sensitivity labels.
- Add a checkmark next to the group sensitivity labels you want to filter your Groups with.
Tip: To sort your groups by purpose, click on the Sensitivity column title in the Groups screen.
