Microsoft and ShareGate Apricot both provide IT admins the ability to characterize the teams and groups within their tenant based on security needs such as data protection, accessibility, and external sharing.
Consult the table below for a comparison of Microsoft's sensitivity labels and ShareGate Apricot's sensitivity tags.
Sensitivity tags overview
ShareGate Apricot's sensitivity tags help you understand the data sensitivity of teams and groups at a glance, apply the right security settings automatically, and ensure your data remains secure.
You can apply sensitivity tags manually or make your team and group owners accountable for what they create. Create sensitivity levels and activate the ShareGate Apricot Teams bot to automatically send notifications to owners of newly created teams and groups to ask them what sensitivity tags to apply.
Apply a custom external sharing review recurrence to your sensitivity tags to ensure that external sharing links and guest access are reviewed at a rate relative to the security needs of each team or group.
