ShareGate Apricot helps you to collaborate with your team and group owners. Set your purpose tags and sensitivity tags and your owners can select the tags that best represent what they intend to do with their team or group and how sensitive the information shared within it is, through the Teams chatbot notifications.
Tip: For information on how the notification will look to your owners, see Taking action on purpose and sensitivity.
Notifications are not automatically enabled by ShareGate Apricot. You must activate the feature in the settings to enable them.
Select the Categorization tab, then toggle on Microsoft Teams chatbot to activate the Teams chatbot.
The Teams chatbot automatically prompts owners of teams and groups to add a purpose and sensitivity tag to their newly created teams or groups. Notifications are sent within 1-3 hours after a team or group is created.
There is no limitation on the number of Teams chatbot notifications an owner can receive in a day. If an owner creates 10 new teams, they receive 10 chatbot notifications.
An owner has 14 days total to respond to the notification. If an owner does not respond to the first notification, a reminder is sent after 7 days. For security, there is an expiration of 30 days for categorization notifications.
It is possible to add specific users to a Do-not-disturb list to prevent them from being sent notifications.
Relationship to policies
Note: The bot will only do what you activate it for. For example, if you set it to categorize your groups it will not be used to send inactivity detection policy requests unless you activate it for that feature as well.
