ShareGate Apricot helps you collaborate with your team and group owners. Set your purpose tags and sensitivity tags, and your owners can select the tags that best represent what they intend to do with their team or group and how sensitive the information shared within it is, through Teams chatbot notifications.
The Teams chatbot automatically prompts owners to choose a purpose and sensitivity tag for their newly created teams and groups.
You can send a categorization request to the owners of teams and groups that were created before your activation of ShareGate Apricot or that were created before the Teams chatbot automation was turned on.

For information on how the chatbot notifications will look to your owners, see Taking action on purpose and sensitivity.
An owner has 14 days total to respond to the notification. If an owner does not respond to the first notification, a reminder is sent after 7 days. For security, there is an expiration of 30 days for categorization notifications.
When a categorization request is sent, the team or group owner cannot be asked again until the 14 days have passed.
You can use the collaboration status to monitor your categorization requests for these pre-existing teams and groups.
For more information, see Collaboration status of pre-existing teams and groups.
It is possible to add specific users to a Do-not-disturb list to prevent them from being sent notifications.
For more information, see Settings.
Update your category policies
