With ShareGate Apricot you do not have to worry about losing important documents when you decide to clean up your inactive teams and groups.
You can archive content manually from the Manage page, or use the Inactivity detection policy to collaborate with your team and group owners.
Note: The associated site collection and apps are only deleted once your team or group is successfully archived. For information on retention policies, see What is the relationship between Microsoft retention settings and archiving with ShareGate Apricot?
How-to archive manually
- Select the Manage tab.
- Find the team or group you would like to archive.
- Select the team or group to open the team and group details window.
- Click on the Three dots button to the right of the team or group name.
- Select Archive from the dropdown menu.
How-to archive using the Inactivity detection policy
Once you have set up your Inactivity detection policy, the app will automatically send a notification to an owner if their team or group becomes inactive. The owner will be asked if they want to archive, delete, or keep the inactive team or group.
